    A Microwave News investigation: Portrait of a Conspiracy

    China just issued a full ban on phones in schools

    EXCERPT: Effective immediately, China’s Ministry of Education said the ban would apply to all school children.

    Chinese authorities have banned cellphones in classrooms and school grounds effective immediately in an effort to protect students from digital addiction and save their eyesight.

    The ban will apply to all schoolchildren across the country.

    Chinese students will only be allowed to bring a mobile device to school only under special circumstances. However, during class, all devices would be surrendered to the teachers, said the ministry on its website on Monday.

    Aimed at “protecting the students’ eyesight and making them focus on study,” the ministry’s new rule strived to prevent student addiction to the internet while enhancing their physical and psychological development, the directive detailed….SNIP

    The 5G Morass – tales and tattles or reasons for concern?

    Excerpt: Last week someone sent me a WhatsApp link to an article by Avior Abu in the Calcalist. Quietly, under the cover of our political chaos, an interdepartmental committee is trying to overthrow the right of a municipality to decide where a cell phone antenna will be erected in its jurisdiction. Their reasons being that while we want our cellphone, we don’t want to see their base stations or antennas in our backyard, even as we complain about poor coverage and slow data speeds. In this age of Corona, improved coverage sounds a good thing …. or is it? Will such a power be abused at industry’s whim? During the early 2000 the cellphone companies in Israel routinely exploited a loophole in the law to place cellphone antennas inside apartments. It took a Knesset law to stop that and so one cannot rely on industry playing fair. It is a pertinent question because in the next few years industry is promising us a 5G revolution. And this revolution will demand a massive deployment of antenna infrastructure. And that sort of power is easily abused.     Why The Race To 5G Is A Mirage by Devra Davis

    Misinformation, disinformation and fake news appear to be the sign of the times and claims of safety in relation to 5G (and I would also include 2G, 3G, 4G, 4G LTE etc.) are not supported by any robust scientific evidence..SNIP..I feel it is most important that people realise that it is not necessarily the RF carrier wave that causes all the biological effects noted in RF-EMR research but it is often the complex modulation/pulsing of the carrier wave and the varying intensities these signals operate at that appears to make it more bioactive..SNIP

    Dutch Avisory Panel Calls for Caution on 5G

    An advisory panel to the Health Council of the Netherlands is recommending a “cautious approach” to 5G radiation exposures.The committee is also advising that the 26 GHz frequency band (millimeter waves) not be used “for as long as the potential health risks have not been investigated.” The new advisory report, 5G and Health, was originally released in September with an executive summary in English. Now a full 131-page translation is available (it features 807 references). There is also a 33-page overview. The nine-member panel, all from Holland, was chaired by Professor Hans Kromhout, an epidemiologist at the University of Utrecht’s Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences. One of the two scientific secretaries is the Health Council’s Eric van Rongen, the current vice chair of ICNIRP and its chairman from 2016 until earlier this year.     An Electric vehicle may not be as safe as thought.

    Excerpt: In the latest Wall Street International Magazine, in the section on Science and Technology there is a very interesting article on emissions from the production of Electric vehicles (EV). What I found of particular thought provoking interest, is the following:
    An EV’s computers, power systems, motors, active sensors and antennas emit electromagnetic radiation (EMR). The U.S.’s Federal Communications Commission determined that EMR exposure from such devices is safe because it has no significant, immediate effect on body temperature. However, EMR-exposure can cause non-thermal effects: it can damage DNA and increase risk of cancer and other diseases. A vehicle’s EMR emissions can cause a deep brain stimulator (DBS) (a medical implant for neurological diseases like Parkinson’s) to shut off or reprogram. I know a woman who drove her hybrid car after she had a DBS implanted. Each time the car’s battery-charger turned on at stoplights, the computers’ magnetic fields shut off her implant. In 2000, 8-10% of the U.S. population had an implant. If someone has a DBS, they cannot ride in an electric vehicle….SNIP

    5G satellites, NASA says “that’s a disaster waiting to happen”

    For the first time, NASA is commenting on a private company’s application to launch a mega-constellation of satellites. And its message is clear: It could be disastrous.

    AST & Science (AST) wants to launch 240 large satellites that would beam down 4G service and, if all goes to plan, eventually do the same with a 5G network, Ars Technica reports. Because the satellites will be so massive, NASA said in a statement that they would cause thousands of potential collisions every year – though AST says it’s committed to working with NASA to solve the issue.

    Other mega-constellations like Starlink also pose collision risks, but it’s the massive size of these telecom satellites and AST’s inexperience in building anything that large that has NASA particularly concerned, Ars reports…SNIP

    New paper on CFS symptoms and the role of power frequency and radio frequency exposures

    ABSTRACT: A 2019 report to the Australian NHMRC found that 66% of research on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), also referred to as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) was on managing the condition, 17% was on finding the cause for the condition, 10% on prevention and 7% on multiple areas. Besides a number of recommendations, the committee recommended “building research quantity and capacity, improving health services research and developing health advice.” It is estimated that 50 -70 million Americans chronically suffer from a sleep and wakefulness disorder which hinders their daily functioning and adversely affects health and longevity . In Australia, a 2016 sleep health survey found that inadequate sleep affects 33-45% of adults, across all age groups. As one of the symptoms of CFS is insomnia and other sleep disorders, any common factor in these conditions should be of research interest. Australia is in an excellent position for such research. For example, the National Centre for Neuroimmunology and Emerging Diseases, based at Griffith University, Qld. and part of the Menzies Health Institute Queensland, has a research focus on the causes and mechanisms of ME/CFS, identifying biomarkers of the condition and improving patient outcomes in the area of preventative medicine, social and clinical care and public health. According to a literature review by Henry Lai, bioengineering Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington and Editor-in-chief of Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine, the biological effects of extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic fields (which range from 0 – 300 Hz) and radiofrequency electromagnetic fields ( RF-EMF) (from 30 kHz to 300 GHz) are very similar, with both including sleep problems. Lai concludes that there is a basic mechanism of interaction between biological tissues and artificial electromagnetic fields that is independent of frequency.
