Further congratulations go to their successful partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society. What will CCS do with its newfound $$$$ windfall. Put it into research on brain tumours and mobile phone use? Anything but…..
Perhaps GLENTEL Inc. executives would make better cellphone lab test animals than the lab rats currently being used. After all there are things even rats wouldn’t do.

Flagship store opening celebrates partnership with Canadian Cancer Society
VANCOUVER, June 29, 2011 /CNW/ – GLENTEL Inc. (TSX: GLN), Canada’s largest multi-carrier retailer of mobile phones, is commemorating the fight against cancer, with the opening of its flagship Tbooth wireless store on Robson Street in downtown Vancouver. Celebrating the opening and the two-year anniversary of GLENTEL’s partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), the Tbooth wireless Robson location will donate to the CCS five dollars from every wireless device purchased during the Canada Day long weekend. With the purchase of a new wireless device from Tbooth wireless, community members are encouraged to get connected, start talking, and support the movement to speak up against cancer.
In addition to GLENTEL’s ongoing dollar-to-dollar contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society, for the month of July, RIM will join Tbooth wireless’ efforts and donate five dollars from every BlackBerry purchased at any of GLENTEL’s 295 stores across Canada. The proceeds from RIM’s effort will go to the CSS Camp Goodtimes, a summer recreation program for children and teens fighting cancer. Having already raised over 1.4 million dollars for CCS, GLENTEL is on target to exceed its initial fundraising goal of 1.5 million dollars over a three-year period.

Street teams will also be out on Robson Street on July 1st and 2nd with the latest gadgets, giveaways and opportunities to speak up alongside the CCS and GLENTEL’s campaign against cancer.
