This case is a frightening reality check as more and more young people spend longer each day connected to their phones. I have prepared the following to send out to my regular contacts who are giving mobiles to their young children and who also have WiFi at home and perceive none of the dangers!
Some useful observations about this footage:
1. Anna is using her laptop propped up on her lap which can cause ‘toasted skin syndrome’, which you can google and which is becoming more common.
2. Anna has been diagnosed with a malignant glioma but she is continuing to use her laptop with Wifi enabled Internet, which operates at similar frequencies to mobile phones and which is likely to be as damaging to her.
So many are skeptical about the possible harm to their health from using wireless technologies and two useful sources to educate these people are:
Dr Devra Davis’ new book: Disconnect: The Truth About Cell Phone Radiation, What the Industry Has Done to Hide It, and How to Protect Your Family
This book published last month in the US and this week in the UK, reveals the complex science behind the most popular gadget of our age. Pulsed digital microwave radiation of cell phones has been shown to damage DNA, break down the brain”™s defenses, and reduce sperm count, while increasing memory loss and the risks of Alzheimer”™s disease. Standards for phones are set for a large man talking for half an hour, although half the world”™s four billion cell phones are used by people under twenty. In her book, Devra Davis, takes readers through the dark side of this trillion-dollar industry, and summarises in clear language for the lay reader, the evidence which has accumulated on biological effects related to radiation from phones. She pulls back the curtain on the potential dangers, reveals the industry”™s efforts to suppress research, and outlines what precautions cell phone users can do use to protect themselves and their families. For more information on the book go to www.environmentalhealthtrust.org/content/disconnect.
Please do add this amended information to your mailing to raise awareness in the many vulnerable groups who are now giving phones to their young children.
