#1259: Prof Sadezky in the morning show (Israel)

The following segment from the Morning Show in Israel is part of an interview with Professor Sigal Sadezky, leader of Israel’s Interphone study.

    From Iris Atzmon:

    — We have no way to be convinced scientifically because it takes time to develop cancer.
For example only in 1994 we knew of the effects of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and I am not comparing between the two radiation types.
Scientifially not enough time has passed. But there are red lights that make it suspect.

I am all for manufacturers to fund studies. There is a need to separate manufacturers from marketing companies.
In drugs research all the research is done by the pharmaceutical companies and we accept this.

This is not just another study. It cost 19 million Euros, the companies paid 5 million Euros.
There is no doubt that there is pressure from the industry, indirect. I have not encountered direct pressure.
With 10 cigarettes per day – we don’t see cancer after 10 years. There are red lights to enforce precaution.
