#760: Notice from the Council on Wireless Technology Impacts

    From Libby Kelly:

    Dear Colleagues,

We want to advise you of appeal brought by SNAFU – The San Francisco Antenna Free Union www.antennafreeunion.org. SNAFU is presently challenging a proposed citywide WiFi network under consideration by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. This proposed WiFi network would add 2200 more antennas to the massive number of antennas and towers already sited around that city. TSNAFU requests that an environmental impact review be done to assess existing ambient RFR levels before any decisions are made. A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10 at 4:30 pm in City Hall in Downtown San Francisco.

The Council on Wireless Technology Impacts, supports SNAFU’s appeal. We have a page on our web site dedicated to reporting progress and outcomes of this appeal. Included, is the official version of a scientific report Dr. Magda Havas prepared on WiFi and health risks which was submitted to the San Franciscoo Board of Supervisors. We highly recommend you download this report as it could be useful to you as an educational tool in your communities.
